Nursery Teacher Aika Ephraim Lema

The Nursery Teacher Aika has been working since April 2010 with Tuwapende Watoto. She was born on 25 January 25 1988 in Dar es Salaam. After completing her elementary school she attended for two years, the Montessori Training Centre (early childhood 0-6 years) and graduated successfully.
Aika: "I love my work as a Montessori teacher at the nursery of Tuwapende Watoto foundation; it is a unique institution and plays a great role for all in the region."

Nursery Teacher Josephine Richard Muhanza

The Nursery Teacher Josephine has been working for the Tuwapende Watoto foundation since April 2012. She was born on 23 July 23 1974 in the Mbeya region. After completing the  secondary school, she attended the Montessori Training Centre in Msimbazi and graduated (early childhood development) successfully.
Josephine: "I love kids, and thanks to my job as a nursery teacher, I can spend a lot of time with children."

Mama Prisca Mashimbi

Mama Prisca has been working since 2007 for the Tuwapende Watoto foundation. From 2010 to 2011 she attended the Upendo College and completed her studies successfully. She was born on 19 January 1980 in Tabora. She assists the nursery teachers and is responsible for the procurement of food. Together with her team, she is responsible for the meals for approximately 100 students and adults. In addition, she directs the staff that is responsible for cleaning of the school and administration premises. Her daughter Irene also lives our children's home.
Prisca: "I love children and I like to help them. Tuwapende Watoto is the best NGO in the area, because this foundation provides the best service for the children."

Mama Elizabeth Thomas

Mama Elizabethis has been with the Tuwapende Watoto foundation since February 2012 as member of the custodial and cleaning staff and she also aids in the school kitchen. She was born on 24 July 1984 in the Shinyanga region. Unfortunately she was unable to attend school as a child and has therefore no school education.
Elizabeth: "Tuwapende Watoto is a very good organisation because it helps people and give them opportunities to make a successful livelihood. I love to work for the foundation because it is the place where I can secure my future."

Mama Getruda Jackson

Getruda works as a kitchen assistant and helps with the cleaning work in the school premises of Tuwapende Watoto. Getruda attended the primary school. She joined our foundation in February 2012.

Mama Anna Cholwa

Anna works as a kitchen assistant and helps with the cleaning work in the school campus of Tuwapende Watoto. Mama Anna attended the first to third Grade of the primary school. She works for our foundation since July 2011.

Mama Margreth Charles

Mama Margreth works as a cleaner on the school campus and has been helping in the kitchen since February 2012. She was born on 24 July 1984 in the Shinyanga region. Unfortunately she could not attend school and has therefore no school education.
Margreth: "Tuwapende Watoto is a very good organisation, because this people helps others to have a better life.”

Driver Alfred Alchard Mwesiga

Driver Alfred has been working for our Foundation since January 2013. He also drives one of thethree school busses, is a house-mechanic and a talented craftsman, he knows how to fix everything in a very short time. Together with Baba Ema he is in charge of the solar collectors and for all technical facilities at the orphanage and at the school.

Watchman Dominik Jakobo Mtukanji

Watchman Dominik is responsible for the security of our school campus. Dominik joined the foundation in April 2011. He was born on 22 February 1975 in Legoma. Dominik completed the primary school. His duty time is from 20:30 p.m. until  6:00 a.m.. Our two dogs Mina and Pino assist him.
Dominik: "I love my job here, because with my salary I can pay all my family’s needs."
