Childrens Home Staff Tuwapende Watoto Mama Bea Tillya Head of Children’s Home Mama Bea is the person in charge of the Tuwapende Watoto orphanage and has been working with the foundation since its opening in 2006. She was born on 8 August 1964 in the Kilimanjaro region. After completing her elementary education, she attended the College Upendo for two years . Mama Bea adores children and finds great joy in helping children. Her son Jackson also lives in the orphanage. Jackson is visiting the University Dar es Salaam. Mama Selina Shayo Mama Joyce has been working for Tuwapende Watoto since December 2009. She was born in 1976 in the Arusha region. After completing the elementary education, she attended the College Upendo for two years. Mama Joyce shares the responsibility in the kitchen with Mama Selina. She adores to help children. Mama Joyce Swai Mama Joyce has been working for Tuwapende Watoto since December 2009. She was born in 1976 in the Arusha region. After completing the elementary education, she attended the College Upendo for two years. Mama Joyce shares the responsibility in the kitchen with Mama Selina. She adores to help children. Her daughter Nancy also lives in the orphanage. Nancy is visiting our Primary School. Mama Merina Ilanda Khangaa Mama Merina is responsible for the cleaning and washing activities in the children’s home. She has worked for the Foundation since March 2010. The children assist in washing their own clothes and Mama Merina helps the children with this weekly chore. She was born in 1983 in the region of Iringa. Mama Merina attended primary school after and absolved the third grade. Merina says, “I love working at Tuwapende Watoto, because with the salary that I earn I am able to build a good and secure living.” Mama Emilia Apolinary Mama Emilia supports our team in the children’s home as a holiday and Friday solution since the year 2016. She works as a cook, helps with cleaning, washing and other mummy tasks. Emilia was born in 1989 in Dodoma. She is married to our night watchman Massawe. She is happy that she can work in our children’s home and thus has the opportunity to financially support her family Watchman Apolinan Frederic Massawe Apolinan responsible for guarding our children’s home during the night. Apolinan has been working for our foundation since April 2013.
